South Pacific Adventure 2019 - Day 2 - Sydney Harbor Bridge Climb & Dinner Cruise

Day 2

January 27 at 1:55 AM · Sydney, NSW, Australia · at The Rocks Markets.
We were too early to get into our hotel room in Sydney, so we headed to the Rocks for the weekly Sunday market, buying some souvenirs including a new hat for Glen, enjoying some kangaroo, emu & crocodile skewers & gelato for lunch. Glen still hasn’t actually tried Vegemite yet but he’s not expecting much. ;)

We made it to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge! Definitely a good way to stay active to beat jet lag, and the views were stunning. I had been melting in the muggy heat today, so the strong winds all along the top were very welcome!

Glen had booked us a dinner harbour cruise in advance to help stay up to fight jet lag. The food was good, and we tried a Tasmanian Pinot Noir, but the thunderstorms that had been threatening all afternoon finally hit as we boarded, making our spotty window view impossible for photos. The weather cleared up enough during dinner for some nice photos out on deck, with a fireworks show in the distance, and nature’s fireworks lightning show all evening! Now we are both exhausted...good night!
